Lucinda McKnight writes poetry, fiction and plays. She is currently a lecturer in education at Deakin University, where she is interested in creative and collaborative research designs blending the arts and educational inquiry. Her PhD thesis, titled The Glitterbomb: designing curriculum and identity with girls’ popular culture incorporated narrative vignettes with visual imagery and textual analysis; on the basis of this work, she was awarded the Australian Association for Research in Education Early Career Researcher Award 2015. She has previously published short stories with Artstreams and Text Publishing and her play Mother Country won the UK Enter Stage Write competition, being subsequently produced by Encore Youth Theatre, London, in 2008.
