Dr Kate Cantrell is a Queensland writer and poet who teaches creative writing and English literature at the University of Southern Queensland. Her short stories, poems, and essays have appeared in several magazines and journals, including Meanjin, Overland, Westerly, Kill Your Darlings, The Lifted Brow, Meniscus, Hecate, The Sunday Mail, Queensland Review, and Cordite. She writes regularly for Times Higher Education.

Dr Kelly Palmer is a sessional academic in the School of Communication at the Queensland University of Technology. She is a unionist, writer, and editor. Her PhD explores representations and experiences of class on the Gold Coast. Her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Overland, Voiceworks, SWAMP, and Rex.
