Jane Baker writes in the Southern Tablelands of NSW. Her work is influenced by the peoples and history of Asia, the Australian landscape and issues of social justice everywhere. Jane’s poetry has been recognised by a number of awards as well as publication in journals, anthologies and the Canberra Times. Her well-received first book, The galled tree (2011) was inspired by the twelfth century Chinese classic The golden year of Fan Cheng Ta (Suzhou 1186).
