Dr Bridget Hillebrand is a Melbourne-based visual artist. She completed her PhD project ‘Climbing the landscape: Mt Arapiles — explorations in place and the printed image’, in 2016 at Monash University. Through an investigation of rock climbing, printmaking and studio practice, her visual research explores the relationship between the physicality of both making printed images and climbing, as responses to the corporeal dimension of the experience of place. Her art works have developed through a variety of forms, including print, artist books, audio, video, art objects and installations.
